There might not be a better comeback story than 41-year-old Lindsey Vonn competing at the 2026 Winter Olympics.

Vonn was a name that no one expected to headline the Milan Cortina Games. The three-time Olympic medalist retired in 2019, but she decided to return in 2024 after knee replacement surgery eliminated the pain that forced her to stop racing.

The odds are stacked against Vonn once again — she crashed during a race in Switzerland and ruptured her ACL one week before the start of the Olympic Games. While some would quit, Vonn has confirmed that she still plans to compete in Milan.

Here is what you need to know about Lindsey Vonn's events at the 2026 Winter Olympics.

Vonn was previously committed to compete in multiple events, but the knee injury could force her to remove some events from her schedule. If she is able to avoid any other setbacks, she will compete in the women's downhill and super-G events, as well as the team combined event.
