New York Giants held pre-draft visit with record-breaking DIII standout
Robby Ballentine has caught the eye of the New York Giants ahead of the 2026 NFL draft.
The Giants need a high-volume wide receiver to line up opposite Malik Nabers this coming season. Carnell Tate, widely regarded as the top wide receiver prospect in this year’s draft class, is heavily forecasted to go to the Giants with the No. 5 overall pick. However, the later rounds of the draft provide New York with the opportunity to add more wide receiver prospects to their depth chart.
KPRC 2 Houston’s Aaron Wilson reports that the Giants met with Ballentine before the draft.

Ballentine recorded 1,314 receiving yards and 16 receiving touchdowns in 2025 at DePauw. The Indiana native averaged 15 yards per reception across his four years with the program.
The Giants hold a total of seven picks in the 2026 NFL draft, including three selections in the sixth round at Nos. 186, 192, and 193 overall.
New York’s need for additional contributors at the position creates a favorable situation for Ballentine to earn a spot on the roster if drafted.
