Newcastle United are preparing for another busy summer window as they look to build on domestic progress and, hopefully, a deep Champions League run.

Several key players have drawn attention from rival Premier League clubs during the past few months, and according to TEAMtalk, Newcastle have made it clear that Anthony Gordon will not leave unless an “extraordinary offer” is submitted.

The club’s stance comes amid reported interest from Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal, with the Reds having already tried to snatch the former Liverpool academy player and Everton winger from Tyneside.

Gordon has become one of Newcastle’s most productive attacking players this season, particularly in European competition. The England international has scored 10 goals in the Champions League, placing him second in the tournament scoring charts behind only Kylian Mbappé of Real Madrid, and he out four goals past Qarabag in the first leg of the play-in round las week.

Gordon’s output in high-profile fixtures, while has elevated his status across England, has also only strengthened Newcastle’s negotiating position and his perceived price tag.

Liverpool are understood to hold long-term interest in Gordon, and with growing questions surrounding Mohamed Salah’s future, the Magpies’ winger is viewed as a potential option to fill the impending vacant.

Manchester United and Arsenal have also been linked as both clubs continue evaluating attacking reinforcements ahead of next season, but those two look like long-shit options to approach a transfer at this point.

Despite the speculation, Newcastle are not actively seeking a sale, as is obvious. Gordon remains under contract and is considered central to the club’s plans as they aim to compete consistently in domestic and European competitions.

By publicly emphasizing the requirement of an “extraordinary” bid, Newcastle have effectively set a premium threshold for any potential suitor, but you know what happened just last summer with a certain Sweden striker….
