On Tuesday evening, Ousmane Dembélé was substituted for Désiré Doué during the AS Monaco vs PSG clash in the first leg of the Champions League play-off. This Wednesday, the French press provided an update on the 2025 Ballon d'Or contender.

After just 27 minutes of play against AS Monaco (2-3) on Tuesday evening in the first leg of the Champions League play-off, Ousmane Dembélé was forced off due to injury. The Frenchman is not expected to be sidelined for long.

Indeed, according to information from L’Équipe, Ousmane Dembélé was reassuring about the condition of his left calf on Wednesday, although further tests are still needed to confirm the exact nature of the injury. Both Dembélé and PSG are hoping for a return to action in about ten days' time.

Trace Carroll, close friend of ASU's Dillingham, takes over as Chaparral football coach

Trace Carroll, who was teammates and best friends with Arizona State coach Kenny Dillingham in high school, is returning to Scottsdale Chaparral to lead the football program. Carroll played for two of the greatest high school coaches in Arizona history, Ron Estabrook and Charlie Ragle. He played at the tail end of Estabrook's career and the start of Ragle's tenure at the school. He was an offensive lineman, next to future NFL tackle Taylor Lewan, on the 2008 team that reached the state final, before losing to Scottsdale Saguaro. The quarterback of that team, Spencer Stone, is actress Emma Stone's brother. Tanner Bibee emerged a central piece to the Guardians’ future last season. He’ll now remain in Cleveland until at least 2029. The Guardians signed the right-hander to a five-year contract extension through the 2029 season that includes a club option for 2030, the club announced Saturday afternoon. Bibee was set to become a free agent after the 2028 season. This extension eats up one and potentially two years of his free agent eligibility. For Bibee, it allows him to receive his first major payday without further injury risk. For the Guardians, it allows them to retain him for an extra season or two by giving him some early financial guarantees.
