Shedeur Sanders turns heads during Browns rookie minicamp

The Cleveland Browns opened rookie minicamp in Berea, Ohio on Friday, giving an opportunity to see the newest draft picks for the team. One player who stood out for obvious reasons was Shedeur Sanders.

The former Colorado quarterback was throwing out on the practice field for the first time in a Browns uniform. Sanders is receiving most of the media attention following his slide in the 2025 NFL Draft. However, the bigger spotlight isn't bothering the so n of Deion Sanders one bit. Shedeur looked crisp during his first time on the field with the Browns coaches.

Sanders, who showed up to Cleveland a week early, has been putting in the work and is ready to compete. However, nothing will be promised or given at the next stage of his career.

Sanders and the rest of a very crowded Browns' quarterback room will look to get an edge on the final 53-man roster. The draft slide is now history and it's all about business. Cleveland got its first head-to-head look at Dillon Gabriel and Sanders. Both rookies are slotted alongside veteran Joe Flacco and journeyman Kenny Pickett. The Browns badly need a realistic long-term solution at quarterback.

While Sanders will surely be motivated to prove that his draft fall wasn’t about talent, the heat is on for him to step up at the next level. Yet, he'll still have to endure the overwhelming attention under pressure.
