Eagles General Manager Howie Roseman says Philadelphia has a starting quarterback and a head coach who do what they're supposed to do: Win. Roseman said on WIP that he doesn't agree with the perception that quarterback Jalen Hurts is "on the clock" and is heading into a make-or-break year to remain the franchise quarterback. "No I don't agree with that," Roseman said. Roseman said Hurts and head coach Nick Sirianni are proven winners, and that's what the franchise needs. In games started by Hurts since Sirianni became head coach, the Eagles are 56-22 in the regular season and 6-4 in the postseason, including winning a Super Bowl. "I think the bottom line for us, in the position we're in, and really for all our fan base, is winning football games," Roseman said. He broke out in 2021 with 64 catches for 1,081 yards and a dozen touchdowns before taking as step back in 2022 while dealing with an ankle injury. The Saints passed on him to pick running back Kendre Miller at No. 71 overall in the 2023 draft, but he went off the board to Cleveland just a few slots later at No. 74.
