Watch Notre Dame coaches Marcus Freeman, Mike Denbrock and Chris Ash speak on Sunday

Notre Dame football ended its fall camp on Sunday, and now the next portion of the fall begins, game preparation.

With the “ending” of camp, head coach Marcus Freeman along with defensive coordinator Chris Ash and offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock each spoke with the media. They touched on multiple topics including the quarterback battle (which we are all wondering how it plays out), the scrimmage that happened today, position battles that are on-going, some seniors stepping up and more.

Freeman once again showed why he is so likable, answering every question in an honest manner, and going into details on each of them as well. It’s not like Ash or Denbrock didn’t, but having the leader of the program being so candid, it moves down the line for his staff.

Trace Carroll, who was teammates and best friends with Arizona State coach Kenny Dillingham in high school, is returning to Scottsdale Chaparral to lead the football program. Carroll played for two of the greatest high school coaches in Arizona history, Ron Estabrook and Charlie Ragle. Cleveland Guardians sign Tanner Bibee to long-term contract extension

Tanner Bibee emerged a central piece to the Guardians’ future last season. He’ll now remain in Cleveland until at least 2029. The Guardians signed the right-hander to a five-year contract extension through the 2029 season that includes a club option for 2030, the club announced Saturday afternoon. Bibee was set to become a free agent after the 2028 season. This extension eats up one and potentially two years of his free agent eligibility. For Bibee, it allows him to receive his first major payday without further injury risk. For the Guardians, it allows them to retain him for an extra season or two by giving him some early financial guarantees. Last year, Bibee took over as the club’s No. 1 starter after Shane Bieber needed Tommy John surgery , Gavin Williams missed most of the season with his own injury issues and Triston McKenzie lost his command to the point of needing to be sent to Triple-A Columbus.
