The Ivorian club secured their ticket after two convincing wins over the Seychellois side.

Stade d’Abidjan clinched their place in the second preliminary round of the CAF Champions League on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at the Stade Robert Champroux. The Ivorian side defeated Côte d’Or 3-1 in the return leg, having already claimed a 2-0 advantage from the first leg.

The Ivorians had set the tone in the opening match in Victoria, Seychelles, with a 2-0 victory. Back on home soil, they confirmed their superiority by winning 3-1 at the Stade Robert Champroux. Samaké Nze Bagnama struck twice, scoring in the 12th and 43rd minutes, before Sangaré Djakaridja sealed the advantage just before halftime. Côte d’Or pulled one back in the second half with a fine goal from Mbolatovo, but never truly threatened Abidjan’s qualification.

With a 5-1 aggregate score, Stade d’Abidjan punch their ticket to the second qualifying round of the CAF Champions League, where the competition will only get tougher.
