Lamar Jackson may not be on the football field right now, but he is still putting in the work, just in a very different arena.

The Baltimore Ravens quarterback has been spotted training in boxing during the off-season, sharing footage of himself hitting pads with trainer Dawson Saint Jour.

It seems to be a new feature in the two-time MVP’s routine after a season where fitness became a talking point following some setbacks.

Jackson now appears to be exploring new ways to stay sharp ahead of the next campaign.

Jackson posted a clip of his session on Instagram, showing him working through combinations while being pushed by his trainer.

“This man had me do this after combos nun stop (laughing emojis)”

“I’m mot——- tired coach,” he wrote.

The workout highlights a different side to his preparation, with boxing offering both conditioning and coordination benefits that translate well to football.

Questions remain over Jackson’s long-term future

Away from the training clips, there are still wider discussions surrounding Jackson’s situation in Baltimore.

The quarterback is under contract but is currently set to hit unrestricted free agency in 2028, and negotiations over a long-term extension have not yet been finalised.

Reports suggest the Ravens had targeted a deal before the legal tampering window, but that deadline passed without an agreement.

For now, Jackson’s focus appears to be on preparation rather than contract talks.

But with his future still unresolved, every move, even a boxing session, is being viewed through a wider lens.
