Colorado football offers top 2027 offensive tackle from Georgia

Colorado football finished spring camp, and now the recruiting season really gets going, and Deion Sanders's staff is busy handing out offers and landing commitments.

On Tuesday, the Buffaloes extended an offer to 2027 four-star offensive tackle Kennedee Jackson. Jackson is a 6-foot-6, 297-pound prospect from Lithonia, Georgia. He holds 23 offers, most from top-level programs, including LSU, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, USC and Texas Tech.

247Sports Composite ranks Jackson as the No. 133 overall prospect, the No. 16 offensive tackle and the No. 13 player from Georgia.

In high school, Jackson played both offensive and defensive tackle as a full-time two-way player. The fact that Colorado, a big proponent of two-way talents, offered Jackson suggests that they would, at the very least, give Jackson a chance to play both sides of the ball in college.

Still, Jackson projects as an elite starting-caliber tackle and would be the clear future of the position for Colorado, which needs some young talent.

Jackson would be a huge recruiting win for the Buffs and would become their highest-rated 2027 commit and just their third of the current cycle. Quarterback Andre Adams and cornerback Davon Dericho are the two recruits currently committed.
