Commanders vs. Colts Thursday injury report: Chig Okonkwo nearing return

A pair of key Commanders are inching ever closer to a return to action after Week 1 injuries. Tight end Chig Okonkwo (hamstring) and linebacker Frankie Luvu (groin) were limited for a second straight day on Thursday, which was also set to be the most physical session of the week.

Both guys were technically limited.

That would be huge in both instances, especially at linebacker. The Commanders haven lost Leo Chenal for the season and Jordan Magee’s on injured reserve.

Running back Rachaad White (shoulder) missed practice for a second-straight day, putting his availability for Sunday’s game in London in some doubt.

Quarterback Jayden Daniels (elbow) practiced on a limited basis for a second straight day, creating an opportunity for him to play in Week 4 or just beyond that.

The team has already ruled safety Nick Cross (illness) and guard Sam Cosmi (concussion) out, as they weren’t part of Washington’s traveling party for this Week 4 contest against the Colts.
